I would have liked to exclusively discuss jewelry on this blog, but this event is such a monumental photographic milestone in Kate’s royal life, I think it’s worth writing about.
To celebrate Vogue UK’s 100th anniversary, the Duchess of Cambridge has been selected as its cover model.
The photos were taken in the Norfolk countryside.
Sally Branka did the makeup for the shoot. I was really pleased to see a makeup change on Kate. The eyeliner is in a softer, more muted shade and it’s blended well. Her lip color is a light brown creme (a very surprising choice!) instead of her usual beige pink Bobbi Brown shade.
I’m over the moon to see natural-looking images of Kate in Vogue. I believe Josh Olins was chosen to be the photographer for this shoot because his work doesn’t utilize much Photoshop and he is very talented at making his subjects look natural both in pose and in the final photos. We recognize Kate as we see her in the media.
What do you all think of the Vogue photos? I will be purchasing a copy (or two) when it hits newsstands in NYC.
